HR/Recruitment Specialist

Summary

Our specialty is landing drones, but our mission is to keep them flying. We are drone enthusiasts and security experts keeping the skies open to all responsible pilots and advancing the potential for drone technology to benefit society. We are seeking a very talented and highly motivated engineer for the design, development, testing, and validation of our engineering solutions to mitigate drone threats in the skies over critical environments and operations. As a member of this team, you will be in the forefront of counter-sUAS (small unmanned aerial systems) technology.

Job Description

The HR/Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment and placement within our company.  The ideal candidate will share our vision for recruiting and developing a team of exceptional individuals, be highly involved in employee engagement, emphasize regulatory compliance in our processes, and enjoy working in a fast paced start-up environment.  

Compensation

  • 50-60k per year

Location

Responsibilities

  • Developing office employee and process policies
  • Streamlining the employee onboarding process
  • Compliance with local, state, and federal governing laws
  • Daily maintenance and improving of employee relations and training
  • Reviewing quarterly hiring plans and listing job openings
  • Identifying and reporting risks to meeting quarterly hiring plans 
  • Working with Department Directors to develop and refine company job descriptions, including revising job descriptions following interview feedback
  • Weekly reporting of job progress for each outstanding opening
  • Maintaining the company's recruitment pipeline system
  • Collaborating with Department leads to define hiring stages for each position
  • Developing and managing a California Polytechnic State University relationship with Career Advisors to promote WhiteFox Defense Technology openings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, psychology, social work or equivilent four-year experience
  • Experience with most or all of the above job responsibilities
  • Efficiently and effectively sourcing candidates
  • Understanding of recruitment best practices and strategy
  • Understanding of employment laws, practices and policies
  • (Preferred) Past or active security clearance
